SUMMARY:Dresden Bombed
DESCRIPTION:1945 Dresden was a site of German wartime production. On February 13\, 1945\, 796 bombers\, including 67 from the RCAF No. 6 Group\, bombed Dresden\, Germany. Thousands died. It was a very controversial incident\, but was seen as a form of retribution for the German bombings on cities in England earlier in the war\, as well as a step in reducing Germany’s ability to produce war materiel and in affecting morale and resistance in Germany.
