\u201cPurina Walk for Dog Guides\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Saturday, September\u00a024, 2016<\/span>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Alexandra Park Strathroy<\/strong><\/p>\n

Registration: 9:30 a.m.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Walk Starts: 10:00 a.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n

It started, with small steps, 30 years ago. That\u2019s when the first Walk<\/em> began raising funds and awareness to provide life \u2013 changing Dog Guides to Canadians with disabilities. Each year since, Lions Foundation of Canada has taken strides to support Canadians of all ages, from communities in each province and territory, by providing Dog Guides to those who need their assistance at no cost.<\/p>\n

Today, the Purina\u2122 Walk for Dog Guides<\/em> takes place in more than 200 communities, and 100% of the money raised goes toward the six Dog Guide programs. This support goes far in offsetting the high cost of raising, training and placing a Dog Guide, which gives the gift of mobility, security and independence to Canadians with physical and medical disabilities.<\/p>\n

The September 24th\u00a0“Purina Walk for Dog Guides”<\/em> is a fund raising event with all the proceeds going to the Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides School in Oakville. You don’t have to have a dog to walk in this fund raising event.<\/span><\/p>\n

Here is how you can participate in the fund raising:<\/span><\/p>\n

FIRST<\/strong><\/span>: Check the walk website to find our Strathroy Walk. Click here<\/a>. SECOND<\/strong><\/span>: Use the donation form to collect donations from friends and neighbours, in person and online. \u00a0You can also open the Registration Form on this site<\/span><\/strong>, print it at home right now, and start collecting sponsors. THIRD<\/strong><\/span>: Bring your donation form(s) and money raised with you on Saturday, August 29th, when you register at 9:30 a.m.<\/p>\n

DONATE ONLINE NOW<\/a><\/strong><\/span>: Click on this blue link, fill in the blanks on the online form, hit SUBMIT, and you have made your donation. Donations over $20 will receive a tax receipt directly from Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides.<\/span><\/p>\n
