“Robert was born on January 18, 1927, in Strathroy, Ontario. He enlisted in the Army on January 18, 1945. He served as an infantryman with the Royal Canadian Regiment. He trained at Chatham, Ipperwash and Brockville. He was discharged at the rank of Private on February 22, 1946. He was awarded the 1039-45 Star and Canadian Volunteer Service Medal. He was a member of Sir Arthur Currie Legion Branch 116 for 38 years. Robert passed away on April 7, 1988.” Robert was married to Frieda M. Seed, who was also a Legion member.
