“Eileen was born on July 18, 1924, in Lobo Township, ON. She enlisted in the Royal Canadian Navy on May 20, 1943, and served as a ledger and pay writer with the Women’s Royal Canadian Naval Service (WRENS) during World War II. She was discharged on March 9, 1945, and married William Daubs. Eileen was awarded the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and the 1939-45 Star. She was a member of Sir Arthur Currie Legion Branch 116 for 13 years. Eileen passed away on November 4, 1981.”
