The Munich Pact was signed in which Britain, France and Italy agreed to the transfer of Sudeten German territory of Czechoslovakia to Germany. Negotiations did not include Czechoslovakia nor the Soviet Union. It was seen as an attempt to “appease” Hitler in his expansionist tendencies – which was not successful.
