Captain
Fritz Robinson was the son of the rector of St Johns Anglican Church in Strathroy. Employed with the Bank of Commerce, he was commissioned in September 1914 at Valcartier Camp Quebec. He was promoted a temporary Captain 24 April 1915. He was killed in action at Givenchy France on the 15th of June 1915. He lies in Beuvry Communal Cemetery Beuvry France. When Strathroy’s cenotaph was ready to be unveiled they called upon his mother to do this last act of remembrance. A stained glass window, a memorial plaque were installed in St John the Evangelist church in his memory.
