Salthaven Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education Centre is committed to the care and rehabilitation of sick, injured, orphaned or otherwise compromised wildlife. Their goal is to return healthy animals to their natural habitat. Through dynamic interactive presentations they are dedicated to increasing public awareness about and respect for the issues affecting Canadian Wildlife.
On May 21st, 2015, our club invited anyone from the community who was interested in the services provided by Brian Salt and his team of volunteers at Salthaven, to attend a dinner meeting with our Lions members.
After an enjoyable meal by the Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Brian used slides and PowerPoint video to show us the types of things they do with wildlife at their centre in Mt. Brydges. The Strathroy – Caradoc Lions contributed $225 to Salthaven as our portion of this year’s Zone Project.
